Potential Causes

Potential Cause: WSUS and XPress compression

If this error is occurring when connecting to your Land Explorer, especially after setting up a new Windows Server 2012 (e.g. by IIS), it is possible that SafeGuard Enterprise Server: IIS 7.x / 8.x HTTP Error 500.19 in combination with Windows Server Update Services (WSUS).

This issue is because of the XPress compression schema module (suscomp.dll) which gets installed with WSUS. Compression schemes are defined globally and try to load in every Application Pool. workaround: 1. Navigate to config.cfg 2. Create a backup copy of the file config.cfg and save it to a different location. 3. Open the config.cfg with notepad editor. 4. Search for the following entry:

<scheme name="xpress" doStaticCompression="false" doDynamicCompression="true" dll="C:\Windows\system32\inetsrv\suscomp.dll" staticCompressionLevel="10" dynamicCompressionLevel="0" />

5. Remove this entry.
