Comparison Heatmap View

heatmap

Shows a heatmap view comparing the RNA-Seq RPKM data between Disease and Normal for two or more genes.

For a list of genes, the x-axis will be the samples, while the y-axis will be the average expression ratio between case and control (disease and normal).

For each cell in the heatmap, red denotes positive ratio between disease and normal, while green denotes negative ratio.

Project Meta

By clicking a cell on the heatmap, we could see detail information about the comparison and project for that gene.

heatmap scale and transformation detail

The expression ratios shown on the heatmap have been log_2 transformed first, and then computed the ratio of the mean values of expressions between two comparison categories.

As shown in the snapshot below, the ratio for gene EEA1 was calculated between Kidney Cancer and Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis.
